Servicing
Periodic preventative maintenance.
This should be undertaken every few years or more often if the instrument is played many hours everyday as is the case for professional musicians.

It ensures continued peak condition of the instrument and will extend the life of the pads.

For older or particularly dirty instruments the instrument is stripped down, all mechanical parts are degreased and the bore and keywork are given a deep clean.
Clarinet bores can be reoiled if the customer requires.

This is an opportune time to adjust keyheights if the player desires and/ or tighten/ soften the action.

The instrument is reassembled, any issues discovered are rectified, including the replacement of tired or failing pads, the keywork is regulated and the instrument is play tested.
